I enjoyed Rise and had fun catching the references to the '68 film. I saw five and expect there were some I missed. I thought the CGI was excellent and the apes looked pretty real to me.

Cowboys and Aliens was quite entertaining as well though not as good as Rise.

I recommend both films as good popcorn movies.

This is the first time we've ever seen two films in one day. It was fun.

The name Caesar.

The Mars mission, and then it getting lost. The ship was also the Icarus.

Charlton Heston on the TV.

The rope nets catching the apes like they did the people in the original.

The cages at the 'refuge' and the water hose scene.

  Unless I was seeing things there was an early scene with Caesar holding a broken model of the Statue of Liberty as he was looking out the window.
