But after stalking a kid and confronting him when the police dispatcher warned you off, you asked for it.

...and texting, low level talk and even loud popcorn or candy wrappers are OK. Once The main feature begins, shut up and pay attention to the big screen. In my locale, theater goers pretty much abide by this. OTOH, if I had my way, there wouldn't be adverts and previews.

and bustle of today's society I don't like. This (phone usage before opening credits roll) falls in the "don't sweat the small stuff" category of things that piss me off. Once the show starts, it's another matter and I've told more than a few fellow patrons to shut their yap, turn off their phone, got cussed at once but he turned his phone off.
