...clarify which Borgia. The one with Irons sucked.

The one that Victor recommends is called "Borgia". The Jeremy Irons version is called "The Borgias". So far, I can only find "Borgia" in French versions, gots to get me some good olde English...

.
It streams from there.
BTW - I am not sure I really "recommend" it - I don't want to be swamped with divorce cases liabilities! :) But in my view it is more dynamic and better made than The Borgias, which was a snoozer, I thought. And like any long show it has better and not so good moments, so proceed at your own peril! :)

I just gotta get off my dead ass and get a long enough cable to connect the Oppo to the router. Then I'll be streaming like a BIG DOG!!

Very brutal, bloody and at times almost unbearable, but a better made one, and close to historical truth, as far as I can tell. Also available through Netflix streaming.

All of my sources show the Jeremy Irons version. I've watched the 1st season of that and have to agree that it is merely "ok". I think that Irons' portrayal of the Pope is especially weak, he just doesn't do sinister very well.
Oh well, back to scouring the web...

Your credibility is on the line Comrade Khomenko, currently downloading the entire 3 year saga. Your standards are high, so I'm sure you have nothing to worry about, bubbe...[g]

You might want to read Wonka's comments on it, he is the true student of the series. It is not an easy family viewing, by any stretch of imagination, gruesome and naturalistic, but has many interesting characters, charming young ladies and ruthless men.
