Very nice analysis for what is a complex topic.
There are five books in the series so far with a sixth and final volume still to be released. Having read them all, I'm wondering what the producers are planning for the sixth TV series since they've pretty much covered everything already. Yes, there's still some to be covered regarding Arya and Bron, but I don't think it'll be enough to cover 10 episodes.
Should be interesting to see what they come up with.

HBO knew how it was to end…
when they signed on to the project. Without the knowledge that they would be able to complete the story they would have never agreed to produce the series. As such, GRRM has already provided general outlines for HBO to use for their series while he supposedly completes the final two books. At least that's what I've read at several sites. And it makes sense.
I'm sure the final two seasons will deviate quite a bit from the final books, if GRRM actually completes them. That way there will be even more of a reason to buy the books, although I would expect that the final results will be quite similar.
