I recently subscribed to HBO. Kinda late, only caught the last two episodes.
And then I noticed that I could watch the entire season on-demand through the service I have (Frontier FIOS).
So over a period of one and 1/2 weeks I watched episodes 1 through 10 of season 5. Complete. Interesting. Perhaps better to watch it this way than to be strung out over a period of months waiting for the next episode. Anyway, this is my first exposure to GOT.
Great series. As already mentioned in this thread, the production values are incredibly high. Acting is 1st class. Directing is great.
Ah man, once you get to know and like a character, they go and kill 'em. The level of cruelty is very high in this one. What a world.

Follow Ups:
Losing Characters...
Your HBO subscription should allow you to all the seasons if you have the On Demand feature...I think you should have that...
The total amount of characters offed in seasons 1-5 is I believe around 30-36...
The seven kingdoms is a very big world for a TV Drama...they do a great job developing all of them...As I have stated, this medieval fantasy realm is typically not my cup of tea...but damn the story telling is top notch...
Glad you liked it Steve, this series actually haunts me a little...
Thanks
Mark

--------
On-demand gives me all of season 5 and then only a brief summarization on seasons one thru 4. Otherwise I'd have been all over the entire series.good stuff.
