The same with me with the Greatful Dead movie. Finally got a copy from Amazon a year or so ago. Worth it, in my opinion.

I'd much rather have purchased a legitimate Apple copy, but they gave me no option.

Hopefully, LIB will be released on DVD or Blu-Ray...someday...

  Maybe when I'm long gone. After thirty seven years (since 1980) I got sick of waiting.
  
  I'm sure there's hours and hours of unreleased footage which could be added, and given the sales of Anthology, etc. there's certainly a market for the DVD to be officially released.
  
  But apparently Paul, Ringo, Yoko, and Olivia feel otherwise, whatever their reasoning.
