I know nothing about the soul of modern Russia, but resist going to movies with extreme emotional demands.. I know bad things happen in reality, I just choose to avoid selected themes when seeking entertainment. I can handle classic tragedy, just can't use a lot of random horror.

Even when the thematic device is effective, people with exploding body parts, flying blood, missing or dead kids, are themes I avoid. This child is sensitive, and I plan to keep it that way.

I enjoy a good movie, but don't have to see them all.

it does not have; borgeois ennui it does have. However, it also has a lot of matter-of-fact heroics in it, as portrayed in the character and behavior of the searchers.
