1. Forcing government controlled healthcare on Americans
2. Lying about Obamacare (like your Dr./keep your Dr. / premiums will go down- they skyrocketed!
3. Making America look weak on the global stage
4. Iran Nuclear Deal
5. Vetoing the Keystone pipeline
6. Ignoring the Constitution by issuing executive actions on immigration
7. Implementing burdensome regulation that hurt job creation and prevented economic growth
8. Abandoning America's allies (Israel)
9. Underestimating foreign threats like Russia and ISIS
10. Adding 7 trillion to the National Debt (more than any other President)
11. Inaction on what he told Trump was the greatest National threat - N. Korea.
These are the most important and only SOME! In retrospect he turned out to be exactly what I said he was when he ran against HRC.... an empty suit. He, Bush II and Carter are toss-ups for the worst... with Reagan, Kennedy and more than likely Trump being the best in my lifetime thus far. If the Dems. would nominate a Kennedyesque nominee, they might be able to have some credibility but sadly the conservative side of the Democratic party no longer exists.

The debt!Trudeau's 2017-2018 deficit increase = 1.6%
Trump's 2017-2018 deficit increase = 17%
Canada = $18.1 billion
USA = $779 billion
That is 49 times larger
USA's GDP is 12 times larger than Canada's
USA's population is 9 times larger than Canada's
Trudeau debt to GDP ratio = 87.3 (the LOWEST in G7)
Trump debt to GDP ratio = 106.1
Trudeau has the lowest unemployment rate in 40 years.
Canada is now rated 4th most desirable country to invest in by foreign investors - the USA didn't make the top 10.
Canada now has the strongest economy in the G7
Canada now has the fastest growing wages in a decade.
So, I ask you, who is REALLY better for the economy?!Source for USA data is the USA Treasury Department.

1. Forcing government controlled healthcare on Americans - lower costs if everybody is insured - he should have gone for Medicare for all since everyone on Medicare loves it. Watch your premiums rise.
2. Lying about Obamacare (like your Dr./keep your Dr. / premiums will go down- they skyrocketed! - LOL! Trump told 3000 lies in his first 100 days. Obama told one.
3. Making America look weak on the global stage - abandoning our allies and cozying up to our enemies and other authoritarian figures isn't strength. We're the laughing stock - look at the response to Trump's UN speech.
4. Iran Nuclear Deal - effectively prevented Iran from developing nukes. Now we will see what happens.
5. Vetoing the Keystone pipeline - not needed. We need to develop alternative energy.
6. Ignoring the Constitution by issuing executive actions on immigration - Trump has issued more executive actions than any other president already.
7. Implementing burdensome regulation that hurt job creation and prevented economic growth - he saved us from the worst economic crash, caused by Republicans, since the Great Depression.
8. Abandoning America's allies (Israel) - LOL! Trump is abandoning all of our other allies in Europe and around Russia.
9. Underestimating foreign threats like Russia and ISIS - has Trump ever said a bad thing about Putin or Russia? They own him.
10. Adding 7 trillion to the National Debt (more than any other President) - to get us out of the economic crash. What about the Republican tax bill that added $1.2 trillion?
11. Inaction on what he told Trump was the greatest National threat - N. Korea. - N Korea is still the same threat with their nuclear arsenal.
12. He's black.
Some things are a little more important than money.
...the number of jobs created and economic growth numbers which are always better under Democrats.
It might confuse him.
The thing is though it is not worth your time, my time or his time getting into it. No one changes their opinion unless it directly influences them. Trump supporters who lost their job or had their farm get killed. Those people change their minds.
The economy is this big numbers thing. Who cares that the stock market rose in record fashion under Obama and continues under Trump. If you're too poor to be in the stock market it's just a number for some weird bragging rights.
Dictators want the population enraged at each other. Then when they lock children in cages ... well they're not us so who cares. Do you think a Trump supporter cares one wit about the kids in cages? If Trump gassed them all do you think Trump voters would care. They would say...well don't come in illegally if you don't want to be killed. That is what could come down the line. The other. Hitler systematically referred to Jews as rats and vermin making it easy for people to go along with exterminating them. Trump calls them rapists, snakes, animals and dogs. And the average trumper calls them lazy wetbacks in private. So trying to argue with a Trumper about ACA. It's not about that or any policy about money. It's avout getting back to the days of Rosa Parks. Make sure they sit at the back of the bus. Trump is a voice for that populace.
...no one ever changes their mind on the internet.
Especially Trump supporters who don't rely on facts or evidence, but fear and emotion.
You're not talking to REAL Republicans anymore - I can respect the REAL Republicans - I can disagree with them on economics but REAL Republicans like Dwight D Eisenhower - one of the best presidents was a REAL Republican.
I can respect them for being multi-dimensional thinkers who actually care about people. But that's not the monstrosity that has taken over. There is no - Democrat can marry a Republican these days. All the money blather is just that. It's now become - if you are a trump supporter - you're unfriended from facebook - you're a liberal - get out of my church.
And you can't have facts on your side when facts have become politicized. My friend is a religious fellow who believes the devil put dinosaur bones on the planet to confuse people. There are Trump fans posting daily that the earth is in fact flat and yes they are literally adament about it. Climate Change is a Chinese conspiracy (that was from Trump but you know where he gets all his information and it ain't from books).
You can't win an argument using a fact anymore. You can't win an argument trying to elicit an emotional response requiring people have empathy. And you certainly can't win an argument calling the other side names.
A racist doesn't think of himself as a racist either - and no matter what you argue - the whataboutism arguments will start. So if you say something bad about Trump - you will get "what about Hillary" - and on it goes. Each side preaches to their choir.
John Oliver on whataboutism. Critical thinking requires dealing with the specific issue and evaluating it - not defending your guy no matter. You never see a Trump supporter ever criticize him for anything. That's a problem.
Is that people get taken by his personality. Some otherwise fairly intelligent people love this guy and it's weird because he is usually so incoherent.I mean look at the 3 minute mark here where you ignore Trump and JUST read what he says. An iPhone auto-correct algorithm makes more sense than Trump.
But in the end the only winning going on is that Trump upsets liberals - mentioned in this video as well. The goal is to irritate the left. Score one for Trump supporters I guess. Us Snowflakes get bothered - although I always wonder if us lefties are snowflakes - why is it that WE are the ones who walk the streets where Muslims live unarmed - it's the Trump folks who own 20 guns and need them all the time because they're sooooo scared ALL THE TIME. Afraid of Mexicans, Afraid of Muslims, Afraid of Gay people - but the left are snowflakes - LOL. What can you do?

...for him it's all about his big boy ego, winning and making more money for himself.
Screw everyone else.
Joe Scarborough thinks he won't run in 2020 because he has a chance of losing.
He'll just take all the money he's made being President and make more with the Saudis and Russians.
This is a Canadian article on the US - and basically the US has gotten to the point where you are two completely different countries now with virtually totally opposite personal and national values and it is irreversible now. Republicans and Democrats now feel the other is immoral and Un-American.And there is zero chance that will ever go back. And it doesn't matter if the next president is a Democrat - it's over. Now it is just how long the spiral and how fascist the country becomes - already caging babies and slaughtering Jews and people who say they're moderates don't seem to be speaking out against the ruling party.
This article is a Canadian perspective on the end of the USA as we all knew it.
Of course the people who need to read articles like this one complain when my post is 150 words so good luck. It needs to be summed up in 140 character tweets and bumper stickers.

I get why they delete the threads - but it doesn't really matter - no one changes their minds - we all preach to our respective choir.
I have been on some television show discussions and they all turn political real fast. Doctor Who did an episode about Rosa Parks (you kn ow a real person from history and not "fake News" so the right wingers start ranting that is SJW - well yes sometimes you need to fight for social justice - and the show is about a time traveling alien saving the planet from monsters - racists are monsters. The Dalek represents the Nazis.
So on a forum about film and TV - I am not sure how anyone can not discuss politics. Politics is heavily IN the film, television, and the music industry. So if you really want to discuss film - most of them have some political bent. Music certainly does - and this forum, for the most part is in service and is related to music. So long as people aren't swearing at each other I don't see a real problem - especially on an American based forum which supposedly holds the first amendment as -- well -- first.
But the US is no longer in the top 20 most democratic countries in the world and since 2016 (I wonder why) has been reduced from Full Democracy to Flawed Democracy.
It's depressing. I need to put on some country music to cheer me up.
...The first amendment does not apply to private entities such as AA. AA owners and management are free to control the content of their site in any manner they see fit. We as users accept that as one of many terms of use. Obviously, if AA policies drive content providers (us) away, it will fail in the marketplace and ultimately cease to exist. Self correction in the macro environment.
Yes I understand this. Heck I was banned from one forum because I posted a picture of Peter Qvortrup (Audio Note) having a set of Avante Garde speakers in the broom closet at his manufacturing plant. The owner of the forum owns and is a dealer of Avant Garde and found that to be insulting and so I was banned (I had no idea he was a dealer/owner). LOL. His private forum he gets to be absolute ruler and dictator. BSimilar in fact to all employers in the US - many states can fire you without cause. So while it is a democracy in that you can choose between two parties who receive massive amounts of money from corporations and businesses - it is not a "democracy" for employees where instead of ONE dictator ruling all - you have millions of mini-dictators running businesses.
Where they can fire you if you are a smoker, have you drug tested. After all what you do in your free time is not really your free time.
And if you're the wrong colour (or gender) things are much much worse for you.
I am often surprised at the things people seem to be able to do in Canada (supposedly commie land) that you can't do in the US. And not just pot.
The moderators on AA are usually quite good - they let people have their say and let them vent - leave these threads up for a couple of days and then dump them. Kind of a release valve.

...I think there might be a group of zealous, non-participating thread monitors that roam the sub-forums looking for policy violations, esp politics. "Films" is under the radar for the moment "but it probably won't last once word gets out.
...in the past so don't fit the mold of a typical glorious guardian of good . OTOH, this thread has lasted a lot longer than I would have guessed AND a member of the AA leadership team is now aware of it. Uh-Oh............
