Geez , Richard
Stop being "divisive" and respect democratic choices. Who's fault it is that you and your colleagues are churning out one idiot generation after another?
You should really be quiet, along with other "scholars' on this forum since you're just a servants, nothing more and it appears that you are failing (you in general sense of a profession and a member of so called educated class)

You pretty much know me by now Wojciech and it amazes me that people who get so bothered by my posts click the link to see what I say and then get riled up enough to then comment.
I'm getting old enough and set enough in my ways now that I ain't going to change because some unknown forum person doesn't like my politics or religious views etc.
I initially replied to counter some of the points about democracy. Personally I always think of a democracy where if 100 people vote and one person gets 52 votes and the other person gets 48 votes the person who gets 52 should be the leader. So when that doesn't happen it's not exactly a beacon of democracy.
And when an educated person like me is told to shut up but the opinions of Ted Nugent and a University drop out so dumb that he failed EVERY course because he is a total abortion of a human being (Glenn Beck) gets to spout off to millions - well those are kind of hilarious perspectives to me.
Thing which amazes me is that nothing fundamentally changes with this or another figure head in the top command. Against all the hopes.. People made their choices and so far the only response from the " educated" is to shame or mob them into submission. It's not that your points are not valid or I would deny you your opinions. It's the hysterical reaction on the part of "graduates' who somehow feel cheated out of their place at the table makes me to somewhat support the other side.
Back to the topic , the whole American enterprise is mostly a mindless superhero movie to the point I'm no longer sure if Hollywood influences reality more than reality influences Hollywood.
warm regards, W
On that I agree. In a broken rigged system it doesn't make a huge difference who the puppet at the top is. But we can both say that when things don't directly influence our lives. If I am a woman who was raped and impregnated by an inbres madman I may very much care who is calling the shots. If I am an old man receiving meals on wheels I may care that that is cancelled for the president's golphing trips.
Some things matter.
In Canada less so. The Liberals or conservatives pretty much stay the course on the big issues. That isn't so in the US.
And the USA unlike Canada or Norway wields the big stick. It affects the planet not just itself.
Electing a total dumbass is freakishly dangerous.
they're just one regurgitation after another....
I'd get into it with you but it's not wise, nor fair, to get into a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.
