I heard news of these 3rd-gen players a few days ago but have not been able to find illustrations of what they look like.
I feel like such a consumer for thinking this, but I'm tempted to unload my existing A20 in favor of an A35! I was looking at one of the earlier top-line players (XA1?) and I liked the deluxe look and feel of the thing, and felt something of the sort would've been worth the extra expense to me.
Meanwhile, the firmware updates continue fast 'n furious, and I think I'm going to start ignoring these unless I encounter an unplayable movie: Not much point in my taking the player down for 50 minutes at a time just to support online purchasing of mobile phone wallpaper and ringtones, is there.
Follow Ups:
Not much different than G2.

Nice that they moved the buttons from behind the door, but they are still too small, and for a flagship product from a company with a big investment in the technology, it sure looks ordinary.
Yea, I don't care for it either. I think the point is to keep prices down. The Onkyo will nicer looking.

They won't look like the G1 players, closer to the G2, but probably thinner. As for FW updates, you can always have Toshiba send you an upgrade CD instead of doing it online-that's what I do, its quick (10 minutes) and easy.
