What are you going to feed the DVD player to re: audio and video?
Follow Ups:
480I component Sony XBR CRT and Krell 400xi Int amp.
I have the Krell DVD Showcase and it's pretty good but
I am looking to see if there is better out there.
Did the bashers and oppo shills at AVS know that your display can only handle 480i?
...the Arcam FMJ DV27 would be a good choice; it is cheaper than and video quality is better than Esoteric/Krell/etc. Plus, it does a beautiful job converting PAL to NTSC for foreign films, and can be made region-free using the remote control; whereas most of the more expensive models you've mentioned are region-locked.
