Does anyone know why going through the processor the sound is more dynamic than using the analog outputs of the dvd Player. I set the levels and distances on the dvd player like the processor. The processor and amp are Classe the dvd players are Toshiba HDDVD and Pioneer BLUERAY. Using DVD with the high dolby and lossless DTS does not seem to affect the dynamics through the analog outputs.

E.g. it's easy for me to believe the analog outputs from your Classe Processor are going to be more "dynamic" than from your Toshiba. Same with the Pioneer unless maybe it's the $2500 Pioneer Elite Blu-ray player.
Are you getting lossless using HDMI 1.3 to the Processor ? At a minimum the player has to either be able to bistream or decode DTS HD MA to PCM. And the processor has to be able to decode the bitstream and/or accept PCM through HDMI. Assuming you use the processor DACs.
You are also not going to get multichannel lossless from DVD playback, only blu-rays with lossless sound tracks.
I get DTSMA and the Dolby version of this through my Toshiba's analog outputs. I only get the Dolby version through my Pioneer BlueRay analog outputs. Pioneer promises a software update to get the DTSMA throgh analog outputs soon.
It's a reason I haven't bought a Pioneer yet. As soon as I know I can afford their top-of-the-line player with DTS HD MA decoding (delivered, not promised), I'll be sorely tempted to spring for it because of the (presumed?) high quality multichannel analog outputs.
I'm making do with a "cheap" Sony for now but I'm not particularly happy with it's analog outputs.
