Some have mentioned that digital streaming is going to replace DVD/Blue Ray rentals...however it's not there yet on Netflix IMHO.
I have about 70 movies in my Que and only about 15 percent are available for download.
It probably takes me about 15 - 20 minutes to find a movie to download...most of what I want to see is not available yet.
Is this is line with what others are finding? Can you find all the movies you want to stream?

Follow Ups:
Picture and sound quality not up to discs and no closed captions.
If it looks anything like an an action film viewed on HBO or On Demand compared to watching it on Bluray then they never will be there regardless of selection. Untill they can figure out a way to send it to me without using compression I am more than happy with how fast they come in the mail.

But what if they start using what seems to be the DirecTV trick of sending 1080p over night to get around bandwidth limitations? If successful that could switch me from mail to downloads. I'd be happy to wait a day or two for a movie to be loaded to my PS3 (or Oppo BDP-93 if I replace the PS3 in my HT setup).

Not only picture but also sound.
I have no problems with selection. I can always find something to stream on Netflix and the price is right, but the lack of AC3 keeps me using Vudu for first run movies. You pay more for Vudu and it's definately that much better. Of course the Netflix disks are super in Blu Ray, if I could remember to send them back.
Netflix.CA has limited selection so far. Even so, I still enjoy it and have gotten into MAD MEN. I watch it through my laptop, which is clitchy (vista 64). What I really want is a wireless device that will let me watch Netflix easily.
I have 2 Blurays which will not do the job (though they will both do the job in the US). So I don't want another Bluray. I may be interested in a new TV -- Samsung LCD.
Samsung LED 3D TVs are listed on the Netflix.CA site as being compatible, but no model numbers are given. I'm fed up with my laptop. Any recommendations?

Either TV or other device.
Thanks
I use the Roku XDS and like it quite a bit. Retail is $100 and one of my favorite video toys. Even non-HD programming looks pretty good. I have 3 meg DSL and the streaming is virtually flawless.

Thanks for the input. Roku is listed as a device that will for for Netflix in the USA, but not in Canada. I just noticed that Apple TVis listed on Netflix.CA. Maybe I'll give that a try.

Mine was always about 100K.

You must have had a bad installation which did happen. 3 meg is the fastest I can get at my home. 6 meg would be better for streaming and cable and FIOS are best. I don't like cable and don't live in a FIOS area so DSL is my only option.
-Wendell
Speed of DSL depends on the distance from the hub, among other things. I ditched my cable, and FIOS is only available in half of my town.

No it's not there yet, but it's on its way. The more I take time to search, the more I find to watch. I'm currently working my way through "Weeds", which I had heard about but never seen before. For me, a bigger issue is the variable picture quality. The picture quality of "Centurion" was very good, while the second season of "Party Down" is poor. In general, the Starz Play offerings are not very high quality. I still like the ability to stream from Netflix.
You're correct that current selection is somewhat limited. I am still quite pleased with Netflix streaming. There is enough variety for my needs and the price is right. It will only get better. I just watched Breaker Morant in HD and was quite pleased with the picture quality.

Another Australian Film "Gallipoli" is quite good as well...Netflix does have that movie available for download.
