I got the 55" LG OLED (curved screen), and am very happy. It replaced my 4 year old Panasonic Plasma, which failed and the company couldn't supply replacement parts. The picture is wonderful. I was dubious about LG quality. If it too fails, I'll be very disappointed. So far, so good. Really.

Do you think that this is just a fad with curved screens??
Really big screens ought to be curved, but only 55 or 65 inches, I am not so sure you want to look at them up so close.
It's hung on the wall with cables, like a picture. The way it's balanced, it sits fairly evenly, though it's not flat. I'm not articulate enough to explain it's physical positioning. I thought the curved shape would be a possible problem, but it's ended up a success for me. The picture quality is the best I've seen (to quote a generic audio reviewer line) in my home.
I'll keep it in mind. Hope my Vieras hold up for a few more years.

I'll bet they will last a good long time.

Hope so. I got a 65" of the ZT series shortly before they stopped making them. I'm not a fan of curved screens.
