TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

So, I ordered my Pioneer 60" Kuro through the biggest online store in the world.

Man, that beast is well-packaged. It took me half-an-hour properly and carefully to remove all the protective layers.
Then, we gingerly laid it down on pillows to attach the stand.
We tipped it back up and my assistant helped remove the thin protective sleeve.
"You're not going to like this," she said.
I didn't.
A large, long crack stretched from lower left to upper right.
I immediately notified the company. It said they'd ship off another asap and to send off the damaged one when it arrived.
Huh? I told them it would take a guy with more skill than I to get THAT genie back in the bottle, the packaging was multi-layered and complex.
They said to wait for a return call after they checked with the shipper.
Ten minutes or so later, the rep said the shipper had agreed to help with the re-packaging.
I tried to buy locally, btw, but there was a $700 difference.
That's a lot to pay for convenience.
Anyhow, I'll post the follow up information when the new one arrives in six or seven days.
