Thanks for that 'Spectator' link. Younger people including, I dare say, many younger Jews, are better able to put the Israel / Palestine situation in a broader historical perspective than many older folks
As I said elsewhere recently, Zionism is a 19th century nationalist ideology that advocated a colonialist invasion of indigenous people's homeland and their displacement or subjugation.
On the other hand the state of Israel is a fait accompli; generations of Israeli Jews have been born there and the liquidation of Israel would not be a fair solution. I firmly believe that Israel's security as well as a just & fair solution for Palestinians is a 2-state solution.
